The first part is a 1.5 hour session where we will discuss the causes of reactivity and how we can solve it by covering the ABC's of Reactivity Therapy; What are the Triggers in the Environment Our Emotions and how they affect the dog Tools for confidence-building Reading your dogs body language Managing Emotions Strategies for Tight Situations Good Recall building Problem-Solving The second part is a 1 hr walk using the new techniques and tools. While many trainers focus on fixing the "problem" dog through tools and tricks, we aim to help you release your pet from human-induced fears and baggage by focusing on you and how you manage your own emotions and thoughts in a tough situation and the use and timing of the tools we have. Sometimes its not the dog, but ourselves that need the training, and timing is vital in clear communication. Going for a walk should be a joyous moment to share. And in my experience, the human is always the hardest to train, so give yourself a chance.

This Packleader Academy private session is for pup's up to 16 weeks. After the basics of puppy-hood instruction, we will guide you in teaching your puppy boundaries and rules, using clear communication with touch and sound, as well as body language. We will show you how to make clear your expectations at home so they know and understand the rules and boundaries without the yelling and emotions, and with clear communication your pup will be ready for the world. Bonus - A free day at daycare to practice their social graces and learn how to use their etiquette. We will address challenges for; the home, groomer, pet store, and vet visits. By using Puppy Socialization techniques inspired by a mother's natural communication through body language, sound, and touch, we also equip you with the skills to manage distractions effectively. Trust us to transform your puppy's behaviour and enhance your bond through our expert training. You'll discover what each stage of your pet's growth demands, and their readiness for training. We cover essential topics such as: potty training, counter surfing, nipping, fear of the vacuum, positive socialization to people, dogs, sounds, objects, body handling, confidence building, jumping up, whining, resource guarding, and walking on a leash and more, ensuring effective communication throughout the process. You'll have free phone follow up for a month following the session, and a working manual to keep you on track. You will also have a free puppy social session at our daycare to take advantage of. You may also qualify to enter the daycare and meet the pack, gain the confidence so you can learn how to introduce your puppy to the dogs at the park etc. Join us in transforming lives.

At Packleader Academy, our Spring Obedience Off-Leash Freedom Fighter class offers a unique and intimate, in-person sessions, focusing on packleader communication and obedience working towards an off-leash environment. Enhance your bond with your dog while utilizing a 20 ft leash, treats to build trust and confidence to finally go off leash. Bring your fun attitude as we train tails and transform lives together!

At Packleader Academy, we specialize in dog training, behaviour modification, and animal communication for Anxious Dog Management. Our private in home approach empowers you to become a calm and assertive pack leader through positive reinforcement and mutual respect in the privacy of your own home. We focus on transforming lives and strengthening the bond with your furry friend. Realizing the dog is simply a mirror to our own energy and anxiety will help the dog become a more confident and secure dog. What would you like your dog to do? Barking or lunging at other dogs, family, strangers Growling and snapping Fearful or aggressive Barking at everything and everyone Possessive around food, toys, beds, couch Nipping at fingers, feet and clothing In our private 2 hour session we will work intensively on the issues that you are struggling with and we will set up the situation so you can get hands on practising your body language and also learn the cues and sounds that effectively will stop and redirect your dogs behaviour using non-aversive action. I will leave you with a manual and you'll have free phone follow-up for a month following the session if you have any questions.

We teach you how to take your home and remote back, and show you how to set some new rules in the home. Teaching boundaries and limitations is crucial to having a good healthy bond with your dog. If you dont' have a balance of love and respect, your relationship won't last. Loving too much can destroy a dog and they thrive on direction and need to start early wanting to please. Taking top spot shows your dog you care for and will supply everything he needs. Protection, warmth, care, nurturing and best of all, food!

Our board & train behaviour modification program offers your dog an intensive 4 week training boot camp with certified trainer and behaviourist Mimi Jacobson and her trusted side kick Sandy. Your dog will stay in her home with Sandy her Lab and attend her member based dog daycare during the week, where learning how to be a dog in a pack environment is the best part of it all. In Mimi's home the dog will learn basic rules, boundaries and limitations. On the weekends the dog will be home with you working on the techniques Mimi has taught you in your weekly 1 hr sessions . Mimi has fostered and rehabilitated many dogs and owners over the last 2 decades and has great success in her work. Her therapy dog Sandy will be there to assist in the behaviour modification alongside Mimi in a supportive and gentle way. Only 1 spot available at a time, so call to book ahead. Does not include food, but treats and cuddles. If your dog is crate trained, bring it along too.
