During this developmental stage, dogs experience big emotions to both scary and exciting stimuli. The struggle with impulse control, which can result in a number of problem behaviours such as jumping, chasing, wildlife, counter grazing, pulling on leash, barking, digging etc. Our Hand Signals & High 5's class is for dogs that have completed a Puppy and Basic class and is designed to help our dogs during the adolescent stage. They'll learn how to cope and know what to do when new and exciting things happen in their environment, and we'll teach you the calm assertive way to control the energy and use calming signals to help them bring it down. This class is for dog 8 to 18 months of age. Bring a 20 ft leash to get the 'stay' to perfection, as well as treats to build trust and confidence to finally go off leash. Bring your fun attitude as we train tails and transform lives together! NOTE: This class is not appropriate for dogs that are working through reactivity issues. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Procedures: Deadline for cancelling a class or private session can receive a refund if notice is received via email within 48 hours of start of the class and private session. You can reschedule your classes or private session anytime before the 48-hours, or you will not qualify for a refund. Deposits & Payment: Deposit of 30% is required to secure a spot and full payment is due at the start of class or private session. No-Show Fees: No refund will be issued if you are a no show for a private sessions, and a missing class without notice will not be refunded as there the class has moved on to the next part of program. Vaccination Requirements: Proof of up-to-date vaccinations are required, including Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus), and Bordetella. Assessment Requirements: Mandatory requirements for booking a private session must be confirmed with a verbal or in person behaviour assessment.
