Mimi is a dog obedience trainer and behaviourist and is the owner and operator of a dog daycare, boarding and training service in Surrey BC. She opened her doors in 2005 and is still successfully operating in Surrey.
Her Certification in Obedience came from training with Tony Parker at the Canadian Institute of Professional Dog Trainers in Langley in 2011.
Her certification in Animal Behaviour she earned at Illis ABC in 2018 with Dr Karolina Westlund, an associate professor of Ethology in Sweden.
She has rehabilitated rescues, fostered dogs and taught Packleader skills for over a decade and has helped numerous dog owners reclaim their homes and their lives with love, respect and calm assertive energy. Understanding and communicating with the animal first is the only way to domesticate an animal to become a pet. You have to reach the animal first. With force free +reinforcement and patience, and her training skills gained from leading a pack of over 25 dogs in all on her own, daily, and teaching private training sessions in clients homes, training both ends of the leash, her understanding of the psychology of humans and dogs is a rich resource of knowledge. One she is ready to share with the online world.
