Packleader Academy private session for puppy under 16 weeks. We will guide you in teaching your puppy clear boundaries and rules, using clear communication with touch and sound and how to read body language. We will show you how to make clear your expectations at home so they know and understand the expectations from you, and will be ready for the world. We will address challenges for the home, groomer, pet store, and vet visits. By using Puppy Socialization techniques inspired by a mother's natural communication through body language, sound, and touch, we also equip you with the skills to manage distractions effectively. Our board & train behaviour modification program offers your dog an intensive 4 week training boot camp with certified trainer and behaviourist Mimi Jacobson and her trusted side kick Sandy. Your dog will stay in her home with Sandy her Lab and attend her member based dog daycare during the week, where learning how to be a dog in a pack environment is the best part of it all. In Mimi's home the dog will learn basic rules, boundaries and limitations. On the weekends the dog will be home with you working on the techniques Mimi has taught you in your weekly 1 hr sessions . Mimi has fostered and rehabilitated many dogs and owners over the last 2 decades and has great success in her work. Her therapy dog Sandy will be there to assist in the behaviour modification alongside Mimi in a supportive and gentle way. Only 1 spot available at a time, so call to book ahead. Does not include food, but treats and cuddles. If your dog is crate trained, bring it along too. Held on Mondays at Mimi's Member Only Doggy Doolil Daycare. When your puppy has had his or her second set of shots, is still under 16 weeks, our daycare service is the safest option for puppy socialization, with vetted and regular well trained dog members attending weekly or daily. With a great blend of breeds, sizes and ages, your puppy will get a well rounded introduction to all kinds of dogs. This is the best pack for puppies to learn from, with all the dog communication we as humans still struggle with but can learn with the help of Mimi and the pack. We can't communicate like the dog pack can and in a language the pup understands. What better way to learn than from a skilled pack of dogs who raise new puppies all the time and know how to set boundaries and limitations in a safe and gentle way. This far outweighs the unexpected harsh reprimand from a strange dog the pup might experience at a dog park that is simply setting boundaries with the pup, but is seen as aggressive or mean.
