Service Description
At Packleader Academy, we believe the key to transforming your dog's behaviour lies in understanding your own energy and presence. In the privacy of your own home and out about walking in your neighbourhood, we will show you how when fostering a genuine connection leads to lasting change, as your dog flourishes in a supportive environment. The first part is a 1.5 hour session where we will discuss the causes of reactivity and how we can solve it by covering the ABC's of Reactivity Therapy; What are the Triggers in the Environment Our Emotions and how they affect the dog Tools for confidence-building Reading your dogs body language Managing Emotions Strategies for Tight Situations Good Recall building Problem-Solving The second part is a 1 hr walk using the new techniques and tools. While many trainers focus on fixing the "problem" dog through tools and tricks, we aim to help you release your pet from human-induced fears and baggage by focusing on you and how you manage your own emotions and thoughts in a tough situation and the use and timing of the tools we have. Sometimes its not the dog, but ourselves that need the training, and timing is vital in clear communication. Going for a walk should be a joyous moment to share. And in my experience, the human is always the hardest to train, so give yourself a chance.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Procedures: Deadline for cancelling a class or private session can receive a refund if notice is received via email within 48 hours of start of the class and private session. You can reschedule your classes or private session anytime before the 48-hours, or you will not qualify for a refund. Deposits & Payment: Deposit of 30% is required to secure a spot and full payment is due at the start of class or private session. No-Show Fees: No refund will be issued if you are a no show for a private sessions, and a missing class without notice will not be refunded as there the class has moved on to the next part of program. Vaccination Requirements: Proof of up-to-date vaccinations are required, including Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus), and Bordetella. Assessment Requirements: Mandatory requirements for booking a private session must be confirmed with a verbal or in person behaviour assessment.
